A source-checked discovery and planning platform that helps New York City families find age-appropriate activities, events, classes, and places by neighborhood, date, budget, and schedule.

Sprout began with a familiar New York parenting problem: there are thousands of things to do with kids, but the useful details are scattered across venue calendars, neighborhood guides, registration pages, and social posts. I designed and built a single discovery experience that turns that fragmented information into practical, source-checked recommendations shaped by a family’s neighborhood, children’s ages, available time, budget, and preferred activity type.
The product balances an editorial, parent-friendly voice with the utility of a planning tool. I created the responsive design system, search and filtering model, weekend and calendar experiences, saved-event planning flow, location and map views, and the data workflows that keep listings fresh and traceable to their sources. The result is a fast, approachable experience that helps families move from “What should we do?” to a realistic plan across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
